Villages

Fraïsse-sur-Agout

With Adeline, who has been passing on memories for 19 years at the Tourist Office, stroll through the narrow streets of this village, the most flowery village of the Hérault department (4 flowers label), and discover this charming haven of peace crossed by the clear waters of the Agout river. Enjoy the sweet floral fragrances and the mosaic of colors created by the multitude of plant species that makes the reputation of this unique town.

La Salvetat-sur-Agout

With Adeline who has been passing on memories for 19 years at the Tourist Office, you will be able to marvel and explore at the small treasures hidden in the detour of the alleys of this ancient medieval rescue, going back more than 1000 years of history, from the first pilgrims of Saint Jacques to the present day with the fine bubbled mineral water that made its fame…

Lacaune-les-Bains

With Adeline, a memory guide for 19 years at the Tourist Office, plunge in the unusual history of Lacaune, a small mountain town in the Tarn region, with a climate that is sometimes harsh but which contributed to its national fame ! Discover the unsuspected wealth of this rural town, which has seen a succession of civilzations and events over the centuries.

Megalithic interpretation center in Murat-sur-Vèbre

Discovery of the life of Neolithic Men and Women (first farmers and breeders of Prehistory) and about fifteen of their stone works..

House of the salted meats in Lacaune

A guided tour to better understand the history and importance of the charcuterie industry in the Lacaune mountains.

In July and August, every Tuesday at 11am.

Laouzas swimming dam in Nages (Rieumontagné)

Visit to lean the history of the dam, the hydroelectrice development of the dam and its characteristics. At the end of the morning, a film will show you the hidden parts.

In July and August, every thursday at 10am.

Commented tour : “In the footsteps of the Wild Child” in Lacaune

Follow the footsteps of the “Enfant Sauvage” and discover its history while having fun in the heart of the forest.

Guided and animated visit for children accompanied by an adult (duration : 3h – trail : 3 km).
This walk is not adapted for people with reduced mobility or strollers.

In July and August, from Tuesday to Thursday, at 2pm (except public holidays) – By reservation only.
Meeting at 1:50pm at the Lacaune tourist office. Start at 2pm.
* The path is also freely accessed from Easter to All Saints’ day.

The moon watcher

Outings in partnership with the Centre Permanent d’Initiatives pour l’Environnement du Haut-Languedoc (Permanent Center for Environmental Initiatives)

A horned head that emerges behind the crest line, a rather nice hoot, the concert of crickets, the ballet of bats above our heads… No doubt, nigh falls on the Haut-Languedoc, bringing with it the night ball. Follow us to meet the Mediterranean mouflons who take advantage of the coolness at the end of the day and enjoy this natural setting that is the Caroux to discover the history of this emblematic species.

Twilight canoe trip

Outings in partnership with the Centre Permanent d’Initiatives pour l’Environnement du Haut-Languedoc.

Let’s enjoy our beautiful summer evenings, when the sun begins to disappear behind our mountains and gives way to the coolness of twilight. This is the ideal time to go canoeing, rowing peacefully on the Raviège lake and meet the local fauna which is preparing to spend the night or, on the contrary for some species, is starting its activity. A privileges moment to observe the last fishing of the day of the Kingfisher, the moment when bats replace dragonflies for a ballet over the water or finally, listen to the first hooting of the nocturnal birds of prey.

The world of the night

Outings in partnership with the Centre Permanent d’Initiatives pour l’Environnement du Haut-Languedoc.

After the last chickadee songs, the last flights of swallows and the last croaks of green frogs, the fauna of the day gives way to the world of the night. From nightingales to tawny owls and bats, discover this fascinating and unexplored world. The evening will end with a peaceful moment, lying down with your head under the stars, where you will let yourself be told the story of the sky (projection and time for observation and listening).
