Go across heaths and forest in the middle mountains of “Monts et Lacs en Haut-Languedoc”.
Long tours are possible with night stay available along the trail. Many GR (hiking itineraries) meet each other … a true great site for hiking. The “réseau vert” (green network) crosses the department of Herault from east to west.
Following the “ENFANT SAUVAGE” (Wild Child)
The story of the Wild Child may be discovered through the interpretive nature trail “sur les traces de l’Enfant Sauvage. There is also a 3 days walk to discover the landscapes the Wild Child must have gone through. Points of departure : Lacaune, then La Salvetat sur Agout and Nages (Maison de Payrac)
