THE TOURIST OFFICE  “MONTS  &  LACS  EN  HAUT-LANGUEDOC”, it is …


An Administrative Public service, linked to the Communauté de Communes  des Monts de Lacaune et de la Montagne du Haut-Languedoc.
A sphere of competences on 19 villages that composed the  “Communauté  de  Communes” :  Anglès,  Barre,  Berlats,  Cambon-et-Salvergues,  Castanet-le- Haut,  Escroux,  Espérausses,  Fraïsse-sur-Agoût,  Gijounet,  Lacaune-les-Bains,  Lamontélarié,  La  Salvetat-sur-Agoût,  Le  Soulié,  Moulin-Mage,  Murat-sur- Vèbre, Nages, Rosis, Senaux, Viane.The implementation of the touristic politics of the community within the framework of a multiannual convention concerns  the following  missions :  Welcome and information, Development of touristic activity, touristic Promotion and secondary missions such as the management of the inter-municipality post offices .
A presence on all the territory with seven Tourist Information Centres: Anglès, Fraïsse-sur-Agoût, Lacaune-les-Bains, Lake of Laouzas, Salvetat-sur-Agoût, Murat-sur-Vèbre and Viane.
A Council of Exploitation of 32 members distributed in three colleges:  the elected representatives ( 13 members), the qualified people (12 members and 2 substitutes), the committees of animation (7 persons  maximum). A team of 12 people to which are also associated 3 agents of Communauté de Communes  (“communication” and ” culture and heritage” departments).

OUR TOURIST OFFICE BELONGS TO the NETWORK OF THE TOURIST OFFICES OF FRANCE. HE IS CLASSIFIED IN CATEGORY I AND HAS OBTAINED THE MARK ” QUALITY FOR TOURISM”. THE TOURIST INFORMATION CENTRE OF LACAUNE-LES-BAINS IS ALSO CERTIFIED “TOURISM AND HANDICAP”.
Every day,  we take part in a voluntary approach of continuous improvement towards the satisfaction of our customers, our socio-professional and  institutional partners.
Our Tourist office is classified in Category I since August 27th, 2013.
This classification, valid for 5 years, has been extended to the Tourist Information Centres of Fraïsse-sur-Agoût and of Salvetat-sur-Agoût in September, 2017.This tourist office classified in the Category I belongs to the network of the Tourist offices of France.Notre Office de Tourisme est classé en Catégorie I depuis le 27 août 2013.
It undertakes to :

  • Provide  an easily accessible welcome area and a space to get information.
  • Facilitates your demands.
  • Provide furniture to sit down.
  • Inform you freely about the  local tourist offer.
  • Show clearly its opening periods  in two foreign languages at least.
  • Free access to the Wi-Fi.
  • Be opened at least 305 days a year on Saturday and Sunday included in tourist period or when there is an  event.
  • Answer all year long to your mails.
  • Have a  permanent reception desk held by a staff speaking two foreign languages at least.
  • Provide a good supply of printed touristic maps and brochures.
  • Give access to its trilingual website dedicated and adapted to the consultation via embedded contents
  • Disseminate its printed touristic information translated in two foreign languages pertaining :
    • to all the graded touristic accomodation. it shall include the name of the establishment, the postal adress, the email, the website URL, the level of graduation
    • to monuments and to cultural, natural touristic sites as well as to leisure sites. Il shall include fares, public opening periods and schedule, the website URL, the phone contact and postal adress
    • To events and entertainments
    • To emergency phone numbers.
  •  Keep its touristic information up to date (annual survey)- To display the emergency phone numbers on the outside.
  • Present the whole appropriate offer of its territory to all the customers.
  • Allow the access to  all the avaibilities of graded lodging.
  • Process claims and evaluate your satisfaction.
  • Propose a touristic information service involving the new information and communication systems (social media, mobile phones, geolocalisation,…)
  • Comply with the requirements set out by the  ” Qualité Tourisme” label.
  • Place at your disposal a member from the reception staff.
  • Guarantee the reliability and the extant information about the local touristic offer.
