Lacaune les bains

Musée du Vieux Lacaune (Museum of Former Lacaune)

To discover Lacaune inhabitants way of living from   1700 to 1945 (reconstitution of scenes of the everyday life). Audioguides in French, English and Spanish.

From 01/05 to 30/06 and in September, every day from 3pm to 6pm (except on Monday and Sunday).
In July and August, open from Tuesday to Sunday (10.30am to 12.30 /2.30pm to 6pm).
On Monday from 2.30pm to 6pm

Filature Ramond (Spinning)

Let’s dive in the atmosphere of a 1841 spinning factory (spinning and weaving process, 19th century machines)

From 15/06 to 15/09 from Monday to Friday at 2.30pm
Adults : 4 € – Children < 12 ans : free
In July and August, an extra visit on Wednesday only for families accompanied with children from 4 to 12 years old.
Meeting point at 3.30pm in front of the Tourist Information Center of Lacaune.
4€ for children – Free for adults.

Maison de la Charcuterie (cooked Pork meat)

Let ‘sdicover the skills of “salaisonniers” and their local region.  Film screening, tasting… paper chase for kids – Audioguides in French, English, Spanish and Dutch.
Open from 15/06 to 15/09, on Monday (2.30pm-6pm) and from Tuesday to Saturday ( 11am-1pm/2.30pm14h30-6pm).
Adults : 3 €, free children < 12 years old
In July and August, guided tours on Wednesday and Thursday at 10am : 4€ and free for kids aunder 12 years old

Musée de l’auto ancienne (Vintage car museum)

A private collection of around 20 cars dating from the 20s to the 70s.

Musée des Battages et des anciens tracteurs (museum on the threshing methods  and antique tractors) 

Besides the former small farm implements, this museums presents 105 tractors dating from 1921 to the 60s.

Maison de Payrac (House of Payrac)

You can observe the rural mountain housing in an outstanding site wherein you will find tasting, conferences and meetings, workshops, games and demonstrations.

In May, June and September, open on Sunday and public holidays mornings from 12.30 to 6.30pm

Musée de la vie paysanne dans le Haut-Languedoc (Haut Languedoc rural life museum)

To immerse in the former  rural life and  traditional craft that show the skills of people from the mountain. + unique collection of minerals.   1600 m² exhibition hall. Fun visit for children with a paper chase

The towers of Nages Castle

Let’s climb up the majestic stairs of the Count of Thézan’s castle, go through two stately rooms till a round tower. Exhibitions take place in July and August. Nearby, the church presents bright iconographic frescoes of Mickael Greschny.
