The “Monts & Lacs en Haut-Languedoc” spread over 30 kms between  Le Sidobre and the  massif du Caroux-Espinouse.

On the west side, the “Monts de Lacaune”gives a preview of the Massif Central keeping an eye on the Mediterranean side meanwhile.  On the east side, the mountain of Rosis, the Massif of Espinouse and the imposing Caroux, also called “the mountain of light”.  The latter towers to 1100m high and  is deeply carved by the gorges of Héric. At the top, you will see some stone roofed houses. .

Lakes to watch from a top or closer, fishy ponds, waterfalls, forests, heath and  bocage, typical vilalges… ourstanding panorama… a huge natural space infolds before your eyes.
A true land for adventures, a strong nature that “sets hard” ! A favourite place for hiking and climbing. Look up, you may see the Royal eagle, unless you meet the Mouflon strolling among the briars..
